Czech Literature is a peer-reviewed professional scholarly journal published by the Institute of Czech Literature CAS. It is published in open access format (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 International) with six issues per year.

Since its founding in 1953, Czech Literature has been committed to the history, poetics, contexts, and role of Czech literature, and to issues related to Czech and world literary theory. Its aim is to present methodologically based contributions that represent directions in research and scholarly output for Czech and world literary Czech studies and other related humanities disciplines.
The journal publishes articles that have undergone a double-blind peer review in Czech with abstracts in English. Submissions can be sent to ceslit@ucl.cas.cz.
